How To Trick Or Treat With Toddlers

Can you believe how time flies? We are already half way through this term. Next week (starting Monday 24th October) is half term, so classes will take a little pause and we will see you all back the week after on Monday 31st October – Halloween!

Of course we won't miss a musical trick and will make sure we kick off the new half term with a fun Halloween warm up. To get yourself in the mood, check out our Halloween Pinterest Board. There's loads of fun crafts and activities to keep you busy over half term and if you bring your masterpieces in, we'll show them off in class!

As a parent of tweens, I hope you don't mind me giving a little bit of advice: Trick or treating with toddlers can thwart the very best laid plans of (witches cats') mice and men. Our most successful toddler Halloweens were the ones where we dressed up, decorated the house, carved pumpkins, made Halloween favours etc, but stayed in to open the door (which we always did with a comedy scream or roar) to the older trick or treaters. You get to admire everyone else's costumes and practice the hard won skill of giving (rather than receiving) and you won't have loads of sweets left in the house!
